One of the most easiest ways to dress up for Halloween is by wearing a mask. A quick fix for those who put off buying a costume until the last minute, or for those who don’t want to buy a full costume. Wearing a mask on Halloween has been well known from the beginning dating back to the ancient Celts in Ireland. People wore masks back then to hide their faces from the evil spirits that would come back on All Hallow’s Eve, better known as Halloween. As it is well known today, the Celts believed that All Hallow’s Eve was the day that the dead would come back to Earth. This, obviously, included the evil spirits that would want to cause some form of harm to the living. The ones who wear a mask on this Halloween may be doing it for fun, but in reality it was started long ago for those who feared what he spirits with unfinished business would do.
Just a little reminder of how scary masks used to be.
