Everyone knows about the Dreidel, the little top that is played during the holiday of Hanukkah. Yet, there is meaning behind the Dreidel. On each side of the Dreidel, each Hebrew symbol recognizes a part of the reason Hanukkah is celebrated. All of the symbols spell out “Great miracle happened here.” The reflection of what happened when the oil lasted eight nights instead of one night like it was supposed to for the Maccabees. There is miracle that happened that is reminded with the symbols the Dreidel contains.
