Murder on the Orient Express (1974) with Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman, Albert Finney, Martin Balsam, Jacqueline Bisett, Anthony Perkins, Vanessa Redgrave, Richard Widmark, Michael York,: One of the best known mystery writers of the twentieth century is Agatha Christie. The books that she has written has left many people on edge wondering what would happen next.  There are many parodies, books, movies, and plays that have elements that are inspired by her work. One of the best known movies that came out of the work done by Agatha Christie is Murder on the Orient Express.

Most everyone has heard about this books lead detective Hercule Poirot. He investigates a murder that had just been taken place. With many clues and suspects, Poirot knows that it is up to him to bring the killer to justice. With comedy, twists, and turns this is one movie that had stayed true to the book. To me, the 1974 version of this film is a true classic. Murder on the Orient Express is captivating for we want to know who the killer is, but everyone who is a suspect has a motive. That is all I will say, seeing as I don’t want to give away any spoilers.

Sadly, Agatha Christie passed way on January 12, 1976. But, she left behind a legacy with many mysteries to inspire generations. Murder on the Orient Express is one of her best known pieces for it is a one of a kind novel that captivated many people around the world.
