Battle of the Bulge

The Battle of the Bulge. Patton prayed to "The Almighty" in a church, for weather relief, and for Him to finally decide which side he was on. The Lord did not change the weather, and the German military made tactical moves of suicide. It was later in another church that Patton said to "The Almighty", " That Sir, was a brilliant tactical move, I bow humbly to Your supreme genius".: The infamous Battle of the Bulge ended on this day in 1945. Many soldiers lost their lives when Hitler launched his last offensive to push the allies back. Obviously, it failed, but not without the cost of human life and the cruel suffering winter had brought. The Battle of the Bulge is one that has been known world wide because of how far the allies were pushed back to the Ardennes forest in France. Eventually, the battle ended and the allies were able to continue on with their fight to save win World War II.

    Good Mornin!
No wonder I’m following you! I adore movies…and especially the oldies. Yes, I remember Poltergeist (especially the scene where the kid talks to the TV! What was her name…Sue Ann?) and Father of the Bride (I love Spencer Tracey!). Lady and the Tramp debuted when I was a teen. Since I’m a cat lover, my mother made me the pink skirt w/ Siamese cats. on it. OMG I loved that skirt!! “I am Siamese if you ple-eeze…I am Siamese if you don’t ple-eeze!” How could I ever forget those lines!! I’ve never seen The Help. It’s on my Netflix list now! Thanks for sharing! I’m working on my next adventure…see you in Australia!!
