10 Things I Hate About You

Gil Junger has created many movies that make people smile. However, none of them are as famous as the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You. Taking a passage from William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew we are introduced this classic play through a modern high school.

When Cameron James becomes smitten with the girl at his new school, Bianca, he makes it is his mission to have her. However, Bianca shows no interest in him as she would rather date the popular jock on campus. Things become tricky when Bianca’s father will not let her date until her antisocial sister Kat does. This leads to a recruitment of a local bad boy Patrick to date Kat. Patrick starts to woo his way to gain Kat’s affections. By chance this giant love triangle starts to get out of control with everything with the prom. All of this leads to Bianca and Kat having a falling out with the truth being revealed. But, this is a romantic comedy with everything ending the way it should. Kat ends up with Patrick, along with Bianca considering giving Cameron a chance.

10 Things I Hate about you became a hit in theaters in 1999. Directed by Gil Junger this hilarious take on a Shakespeare play shined right on through. On November 7, 1954 Gil Junger was born with quite a slew of films ahead of him.
