Classic Albums Live! Led Zeppelin
One of the most famous bands of all time is Led Zeppelin. Many people listen to their music on the radio from the classic band that had started in London in the late 1960’s. Well today, there are tribute bands to them. On November 18, 2016 there was Classic Albums Live! Led Zeppelin bringing them back to life before your very eyes.
This is not the only Classic Albums Live! coming to the Garde Arts Center in New London, Connecticut. Soon they will be having tributes to David Bowie’s Ziggy Stardust and Prince’s Purple Rain from Classic Albums Live! Other shows like operas and Broadway shows are to appear as well as, The Nutcracker Ballet which will happen on Saturday December 10th and Sunday December 11th. Even with all of these advertisements for upcoming shows nothing could stop the excitement of watching Led Zeppelin come alive again.
The audience started entering the theater at seven o’clock when doors open. Many people went to go check out the T-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts that were being sold. Many of them were wearing Led Zeppelin attire as they prepped to watch one of the most iconic bands take the stage. As the audience walked in they were amazed to see the stage with ten guitars, a drum set, and a keyboard that would be played by the band among the red and white lights.
Once the audience was settled in Steve Sigel walked to the stage to an applause by welcoming everyone to see the show. After announcing future shows like Quinn Sullivan and Wally Lamb’s Wishin’ and Hopin’, a movie based on his book he wished a Happy Birthday to a couple of audience members. Then the audience cheered as they prepared to welcome the band onto the stage.
When the band walked on the audience was enthusiastic as they quietly went to their instruments and the lead singer approached the microphone. There was a brief silence, and then the music started. The audience began to enjoy the six band members as they played the classic music that Led Zeppelin had brought to life. There was cheering as the lights flashed with them taking videos and photos on their cell phones (which they were allowed to do). The solos given by the talented drummer and guitar players received praise.
As the first act came to a stop the lead singer announced that the proceeds from the merchandise sold would be going to cancer research to the joy of the audience. During the brief intermission the band walked around the theater and lobby talking with the audience. Among the photos and autograph signing the band was humble with the fantastic show they had brought to life.
The act two started, the lead singer announce that this would be the rock and roll part of the show. They went back to the blues era with encouraging the audience to participate in the songs by letting them sing the lyrics. As the patrons walked around to get photos from different views they started to dance as the show came to a close. After the show ended, the band continued to interact with the audience who were in awe of seeing the band Led Zeppelin come alive again through Classic Albums Live!
