Tubby the Tuba

Tubby the Tuba (dvd_video): Dick Van Dyke is quite the actor, singer, and dancer. He is one of those who doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. In the 1975 animated film Tubby the Tuba he provided the voice for the lead character, proving once again why he deserves a place in history.

Tired of his place in the orchestra, Tubby the Tuba takes a trip to find his own tune. Along the way he ends up in the circus which brings him into Singing City. Upon arrival he discovers that he can find his own tune after helping out Celeste, a young orphan locked away. When he does find his tune he returns to the orchestra to the surprise of his fellow band mates. However, when he starts it is frowned upon by all of the other instruments. Yet, once he started to play he finds himself becoming a star in his own right.

Dick Van Dyke was born on December 13, 1925. A true legend in his own right he has proven over and over again. In the 1977 animated film Tubby the Tuba he brought to life a story about a little tuba who thought big.
