Theater Thursday: Seussical the Musical

This is probably one of the best musicals ever it so funny and energetic, I also played one of the bird girls in this play: March 1st is celebrated in schools across America as Dr. Seuss’s birthday. The man who had written beloved books like The Cat in the Hat and How the Grinch Stole Christmas was brought into the world only to lead a life of joy and wonder for children every where. In the year 2000 a musical based on some of his beloved works came to life in Seussical the Musical.

Using the stories from Horton Hears a Who!, Horton Hatches the Egg, and Miss Gertrude McFuzz we are brought on a journey through Dr. Seuss in song and dance. With the conjuring of the Cat in the Hat a young boy is encouraged to make up his own land using his imagination. He does so by bringing the stories we all know and love from Dr. Seuss. Using songs based on books, this musical is one of all sorts that magically weaves a beloved story for all.
