Read It Wednesdays: Edgar Allan Poe: Complete Tales and Poems

One of my favorite writers of all time has to be Edgar Allan Poe. The father of the original detective story with “Murders on the Rue Morgue” and the master of macabre as proven in “The Cask of Amotillado” and “The Tell Tale Heart.” Nothing seemed to stop him from writing stories that would inspire writers, like Stephen King, to create some of the most horrifying literature of all time. His most famous poem is probably “The Raven” in which we follow a man mourning the loss of his recently deceased Lenore. Edgar Allan Poe has to be one of the most iconic and terrifying writers of all time with works that still provide nightmares today.
