One of the greatest epics of all times comes from Ancient Greece. Homer’s The Odyssey takes us on a journey to an island ten years after the Trojan War. Odysseus son Telemachus deals with the loss of his father as men fawn after his mother Penelope. At his own will he follows in the line of the gods to bring him back to his father. His journey leads him to learn more about his father while his mother worries about his safety. When we finally learn about what happened to Odysseus the recounted story opens Telemachus eyes about his family and the gods.
