A few years ago I took a trip with my dad to New Orleans, Louisiana. The city is know for it’s jazz, food, and haunted history among other things I could right about. But, today is the day before Ash Wednesday, commonly called Mardi Gras. Down in New Orleans there are usually parades and parties being held. However, due to COVID-19 many of those celebrations aren’t going to happen until next year. I was happy to see many houses being decorated and to see the residents find another way to celebrate Mardi Gras. One day I do hope to go down to New Orleans for the real Mardi Gras celebration. I don’t know how old I will be, but I heard that it is a fun loving time. To all those who are celebrating Mardi Gras down in New Orleans I hope you stay safe and well.
