Celebrating Christmas Year Round

One of the things that I hate the most is when December ends, the holidays are over and Christmas decor goes away. However, I found a way to enjoy Christmas by watching a Christmas movie on the twenty-fifth of each month. By doing this I find myself enjoying Christmas year round with out having to pull out the decorations and get presents.

At the end of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge makes a promise to honor Christmas all year round. By following Christ and recognizing Christmas as Jesus’s birthday, I believe that I am honoring Christmas year round. But, adding a movie on top of it, just makes if feel sweeter.

So glad to see some of my favorite movies represented in your collage above! (The Grinch, Charlie Brown, Scrooged). Have you seen “The Shop Around the Corner” or “The Bishop’s Wife”? Great classics, both from the 40s if you like movies from that era.

Oh, you should if you like Cary Grant. It’s a slightly different role for him in that he doesn’t quite play the romantic lead, but there’s still that element (after all, he is Cary Grant).
